What have I been so busy with?

by SJ Griffin

I did some learning about SEO the other day and so now all my posts are going to start with a question because that’s how most people search. They just put ‘Where does the Yellow Brick Road go?’ or ‘How did I get this terrible rash?’ into Google and away they go. Listicles. That’s a word now apparently.

‘It’s not a word,’ I said. ‘It’s a portmanteau.’

Blank faces.

Anyway, this is wildly fascinating, as per, but not the point of this post. The point of this post is to make the following announcement:

I have started a new book.

I forgot the drum roll. Never mind.

I have started a new book.

I’m on chapter two. I nearly gave up halfway through chapter one but I decided that would be silly given that I’ve got the whole thing planned out and really only need to write it down. That’s the fun part.

Actually, the fun part is having the idea in the first place and then having it hang around and become a whole book. The writing it down part is the important part. So, in answer to the question I posed in the title of this post ‘What have I been so busy with?’  I have been doing proper writing. As opposed to writing games, which is far too much fun to be proper writing.

I’ve also given up my permanent content/editorial job, which was becoming tiresome in the extreme, so that the important part receives the proper enthusiasm and energy.

No title yet. You’ll be the first to know.
